UI design
As part of the UX/UI Product Design course at Mr. Marcel School (Madrid, 2020), I conducted research into the fintech sector to analyze common usability challenges.
I focused on Unicaja Bank’s mobile app, which at the time was outdated and lacked user-friendly flows. I approached the project as a consultant would: mapping pain points, defining opportunities, and redesigning the app’s UX and UI to improve navigation, streamline tasks, and enhance overall usability.
Heuristic Evaluation:
Analysis of usability issues in the previous design
UX Desk Research:
Competitor benchmarking & reference analysis
User Flows & Task Mapping:
Identifying key journeys and pain points
Wireframing:
Low-fidelity layouts to define structure and hierarchy
Stylescaping & Visual Exploration:
Defining look & feel aligned with brand goals
Desktop & Mobile Re-design:
Applying Jakob Nielsen’s UX Guidelines and responsive best practices
Prototyping & Iteration:
Interactive mockups tested and refined based on feedback
